HJC Helmets

HJC is a helmet company that has been around for a long time and has become one of the go-to brands for motorcycle enthusiasts around the world. This is because they offer some of the best safety features you will find in a motorcycle helmet, along with creative styles that go great with your bike. There are several techniques you can use when cleaning your HJC helmet and you want to keep it shining like new because they are all finished with an automotive clear coat/base coat finish. The best way to do this is use rubbing compounds that are great for deep cleaning. You want to be careful because if you over polish your helmet it will tend to cause scratches in the finish, and if you put stickers on your helmet the glue can leave residue. Although, you can get rid of the glue by using an alcohol pad and wipe it clean, but just be sure not to use a lot of pressure. You will want to wipe it down several different times in order to prevent any damage to the paint.

If you happen to purchase a flat finished helmet, you will want to use mild soap with warm water. To get rid of heavier dirt, just wash it several times instead of using excessive pressure to get it all off in your first cleaning.

After wearing your helmet for awhile, you will want to be sure to clean the interior to get rid of any dirt or sweat stains that have built up. This will stop any bad odors from forming, and you know that's the last thing you want to have. You can also wash the HJC removable pads by just throwing them in your washing machine and allowing them to air dry. If your helmet has interiors that you can't remove, just use a cleaner that will kill mildew and bacteria, like "Helmet Fresh".

Sometimes dirt will get in the vents of the helmet, and in order to clean them out just use a source of high-pressured air to clean them out. A great example of this would be to use any of the computer keyboard cleaning products to blow through the vents to knock anything loose that has built up. You may want to remove any ads before you do this, though, because you don't want to risk damaging them.
