What is a Top Case?
Essentially a top case is a trunk. A top case is just another name for it.
How do I mount a Top Case?
These mount to your motorcycle luggage rack, you have the following choices:
  1. If you already have a luggage rack, you can use the standard bottom (mounting bracket) that comes with each top case. This standard bottom will allow you to attach the top case to most luggage racks.
  2. Or you can purchase a Shad Top Master (luggage rack).
All of these top cases can be fitted with an optional backrest.
Note: that if you have a backrest or sissy bar, you'll have to consider whether that will interfere with the top case lid opening. You'll need enough space between the case and the backrest or sissy bar for the lid to swing open.
