The sun is shining and the birds are singing. That means the warmer months are ahead and it’s once again the ideal time to hit the road on two wheels. Motorcyclists from all over the country live for the months when they can load up and get out to feel the wind and sun on their faces. If you’re ready to be out on the open road, make sure you’re really ready with all you need to keep you safe and supplied.
While you could throw on just any pair of shoes for days when you will feel the wind in your hair, your best bet is to find a good pair of motorcycle boots for long rides. This is especially true if you have invested into a tough bike like a Harley. When you’re sitting on a piece of steel almost too cool for the road itself, you better look good while doing it.
The fact of the matter is that dudes or chicks on bikes get a lot of attention on the road. So if you’re riding the ultimate bike, you need to look like you belong on it. Yes, you have to deserve that bike. That means leather jacket, cool helmet and motorcycle boots. Dressed like this, you look like you belong on that hog and can feel confident while riding the roads.
Even though you are not technically on your feet as you ride your bike, your feet need to be protected and comfortable. Motorcycle boots are made to be comfortable, with plenty of padding for your feet. While they oftentimes look heavy, motorcycle boots are pretty light for the most part. You don’t want to get a workout in clomping around in heavy boots!
To get you where you want to go with what you need when you get there, you need motorcycle saddlebags. There is a wide variety of accessories you could buy for your motorcycle; but it is motorcycle saddlebags that really provide a useful function for the avid rider.
There are two popular types of motorcycle saddlebags: bolt on and throw-over. Bolt on saddlebags are attached directly to your bike. Most styles will come with mounting brackets. If you find a bolt-on style that does not come with brackets, these can be ordered independently. The bolt-on style of saddlebags can be installed pretty quickly and easily, and give the biker customization above other types of bags or luggage. Most motorcycles can handle bolt-on style saddlebags.
The throw-over type of saddlebag provides one of the easiest ways to add extra storage to your bike without the use of mounting brackets. The best thing about throw-over saddlebags is that they are easy to put on and take off. So if you’ve got valuables you’d rather not leave on the bike when you make pit-stops, you can just grab the saddlebag and take it with you. When you put throw-over saddlebags on your bike, you don’t have to worry about theft; you don’t have to lock them up. All you have to do is unzip, unbuckle or unsnap your bags and away you go.

What is it about skulls? Whether it was the skull and crossbones flag pirates on the Spanish Main used to signal no quarter or the warning label on a poison bottle, skulls have historically been used to instill fear and serve as a warning to steer clear! The same message applies to the all-new Scorpion SkullBucket jacket and matching Scorpion EXO-400 Skull Bucket Helmet . Flying the SkullBucket flag serves as a warning to urban warriors on the mean streets that no quarter will be asked… or given!
The bad-ass SkullBucket jacket is as tough as it looks. Starting with a 600 Denier outershell, the jacket gets ballistic nylon panels in the high impact areas, further bolstered by CE-approved armor at the elbows and shoulders. There is also a full length back protector compartment, complete with a P.E. foam pad. Beyond the body armor, the water-resistant polyurethane coated fabric works in conjunction with a removable full sleeve EverHeat™ thermal liner to keep riders warm and dry even when Mother Nature decides to unleash her wrath.
In addition to the overtly menacing exterior, subtle refinements abound. There are two generous hand warmer pockets as well as an interior storage pocket. Reflective trim has been incorporated on the arms and back of the jacket for improved night-time visibility. Additional highlights include snap-operated arm adjustment tabs to keep sleeves from flapping at triple digit speeds and belt loop tabs for pant attachment.
Just like the original Jolly Roger pirate flag, the SkullBucket jacket comes in a menacing black and white to strike fear into the hearts of fat merchant men. Speaking of which, sizes range from S up through XXL! If you are looking to take no prisoners, score a SkullBucket jacket and matching helmet without having to pay a pirates ransom.

Biker gear is totally cool pretty much wherever you go. Maybe you have just finally got that new bike you’ve been craving and you want to look like you belong on it. Or perhaps you are a biker chick at heart but no one can really tell. If you want to give that cool biker vibe, you’ve got to have on the right clothes. Read on for tips on how to look the biker part.
Both men and women look ultra cool in leather chaps. And not only do these pants look good, but they provide protection on the road. The reasons to wear leather chaps are not purely appearance related – although those are great reasons. Leather is a strong material and is therefore perfect for riders. To go along with a leather jacket to protect the arms and upper torso, leather chaps keep the legs protected in case of a brush up against something.
The leather chap style is different than that of pure leather pants. The reason for wearing chaps instead of pants is simply comfort. With a leather pant, you may find that you get too hot and possibly even a little sweaty during rides. The last thing you want is to be uncomfortable; and this is why you would choose leather chaps over leather pants. The openness of the chaps keeps you cool as you ride the open roads.
Since the biker style is full of leather from head to toe, you will need to get yourself a leather jacket to go with those chaps. Even if you just wear jeans when you ride, Harley Davidson leather jackets are one hot accessory to your total appearance. Amongst bikers, the Harley seems to be the most popular ride to be seen on, so Harley Davidson leather jackets are also totally popular on the market.
All over the United States, Harley Davidson leather jackets can be seen on bikers as they roar down the road. Depending on where you live, you may have unique needs for your leather jacket; but ultimately you want to look great and stay protected. This is the main reason for wearing leather as you ride, as has been stated.
The jacket you wear is also your signal of style. You may be showier and want a leather jacket with more zippers and snaps; or you may prefer the simple styling of a leather jacket as plain as can be. Either way, you’re wearing leather so you are protected AND hot.
To got with your leather jacket and chaps, you clearly need to have a pair or cool motorcycle boots. All of this without the proper shoes and your entire outfit will just look odd. So start with a great jacket, add some leather chaps for protection, and then find the right motorcycle boots to protect your feet and pull the whole outfit together. If you want to throw on a bandana so you don’t have helmet head when you get off the bike; you can do that too. Otherwise just give our hair a quick flip and perfect the cool biker look.

With each pair of boots you have, you should take the time to properly maintain them. The few minutes it takes will greatly extend the life of the boots.
1. CLEAN
Do not let dirt and dust accumulate on leather products. After each wearing, boots should be wiped down with a damp, not wet, cloth. Dust and dirt can break down the leather and shorten the life of your boots. Allow your boots to dry out thoroughly between wearings. This prevents the onset of bacteria from forming in the leather. Allow your boots to air dry, do not set them near heat. It will dry them out excessively.
2. CONDITION
Conditioning leather is important because conditioner helps to maintain the original look and feel of the leather. Conditioning keeps the boots from drying out. Use a conditioner specially formulated for boots. Lanolin based products work best.
3. POLISH
To keep boots looking their best, you should periodically apply a matching boot cream polish. The polish will help to cover any scuffs and can be brought to a bright luster.
4. PROTECT
Protect your boots even more with water repellent, use boot trees to help maintain your boots shape and form and use edge dressing on the outside edge to maintain welt color.

All sports have their necessary safety gear. Motorcycling is no exception. When it gets hot outside we all want to shed our protective gear and stay cool on the long rides ahead, but it is not the smartest thing to do. A great way to stay cool in the summer and still be safe is with a Mesh Motorcycle Jacket. Most mesh jackets come with armor that is essential to minimizing damage in an accident. The mesh lets air flow through the jacket to keep you cool while keeping your skin from hitting the pavement saving you from unwanted abatement from a nurse named Bob. The mesh motorcycle jacket is a great way to stay protected and cool at the same time, with braided fiber in the open weave pattern allowing air in and out and keeping bugs and the road off of you.
We stock some of the best name brands like Scorpion and First. They have some of the best styles out there for your hard earned dollar. Check out all the styles and colors we have to offer and pick yours out today.
